Welcome to BusRoute (“busroute.co”). By making a booking with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully, as they outline your rights and responsibilities.

 


 

1. General Terms of Booking

  • All bookings are subject to these Terms & Conditions.
  • A booking is considered confirmed and binding when:
    • You receive a confirmation (verbally or in writing), and
    • The required deposit is received (if applicable).
  • Deposits are non-refundable, unless BusRoute is unable to fulfill your journey.
  • Please remain seated while the vehicle is in motion.

 


 

2. Liability & Responsibility

  • BusRoute (or its agents, contractors, or subsidiaries) is not liable for:
    • Accidents, delays, or road traffic issues.
    • Loss or damage to luggage or personal belongings.
  • Responsibility for conduct, damages, or compensation lies with the Hirer (client) and/or the contractor (driver).
  • Criminal or civil proceedings may be pursued in cases of damage, negligence, or disruptive behavior.

 


 

3. Cancellation, Refunds & Deposits

Deposits

  • minimum 40% deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • Deposits are non-refundable unless BusRoute cannot fulfill the journey.

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 14 days before travel ? 40% charge of total booking.
  • 7–14 days before travel ? 50% charge of total booking.
  • 48 hours – 7 days before travel ? 75% charge of total booking.
  • Less than 48 hours before travel ? 100% charge (no refund).
  • If additional services (meals, ferries, accommodation, etc.) are included, their cancellation charges will also apply.

Special Note on Pandemics (COVID-19 & Similar Events)

  • No special concessions or refunds will be made for cancellations due to illness or pandemics.
  • Rearrangement charges apply:
    • 15% if more than 14 days’ notice,
    • 30% if 7–14 days’ notice,
    • 40% if less than 7 days,
    • 0% refund if within 48 hours.

 


 

4. Travel Disruptions & Cancellations by BusRoute

BusRoute reserves the right to:

  • Cancel, suspend, or alter a booking due to:
    • Vehicle breakdown,
    • Driver unavailability,
    • Unforeseen circumstances.
  • Provide a full refund in such cases (but not cover extra costs).
  • Substitute a different vehicle (larger, smaller, or different brand) if necessary.

 


 

5. Passenger & Hirer Responsibilities

  • The Hirer is responsible for:
    • Any damage to the vehicle, fittings, or equipment caused by their party.
    • Additional charges for deviations from the agreed route or delays caused by late arrival.
  • Passenger conduct:
    • No alcohol, smoking, or fast food on board.
    • Guide dogs are permitted; other animals are not.
    • Luggage must not block gangways or emergency exits.
  • Drivers may refuse to carry passengers who:
    • Cause a nuisance,
    • Pose a safety risk, or
    • Fail to follow instructions.

 


 

6. No-Show & Missed Flights

  • A “No Show” occurs when a passenger fails to meet the driver at the agreed pickup point/time.
  • In case of a No Show:
    • Full booking cost will be charged.
    • Pre-paid bookings will not be refunded.
  • Drivers wait up to 1 hour after flight landing time at airports.
  • If your flight is missed, you must notify BusRoute immediately to avoid full fare charges.

 


 

7. COVID-19 Safety Guidance

Passenger Advice

  • Do not travel if unwell or showing symptoms.
  • Face coverings are recommended but not required.
  • Use tissues for coughs/sneezes and dispose of safely.
  • Maintain distancing when possible.
  • Use hand sanitiser when appropriate.

Driver Advice

  • Sanitise vehicles regularly (especially touchpoints).
  • Maintain ventilation by keeping windows open where possible.
  • Avoid handshakes and maintain professional distance.

 


 

8. Conditions of Hire

  • Drivers have the final authority over their vehicle.
  • The company may subcontract bookings to other licensed, insured operators.
  • BusRoute is not liable for:
    • Delays due to traffic, breakdowns, or unforeseen events,
    • Lost or damaged belongings,
    • Injuries when boarding or alighting the vehicle.
  • Use of child seats (if provided) is at the parent/guardian’s discretion.
  • Clients must double-check booking details; incorrect details may result in missed pickups.

 


 

9. Payment & Charges

  • Full payment is required before departure, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payment methods: Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer, Cheque, or Cash (to driver if pre-arranged).
  • Duplicate or erroneous payments refunded subject to a 22.5% admin fee.
  • Waiting time over 15 minutes may incur extra charges.
  • Trailers are only provided if booked in advance (from £40 each way).

 


 

10. Notices & Complaints

  • No posters, bills, or notices may be displayed on vehicles without consent.
  • Complaints must be submitted by email only to: info@busroute.co

 


 

11. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking and/or paying a deposit, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
