RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2027: A Garden Lover's Day Out, Made Easy by Coach

The RHS Malvern Spring Festival opens the RHS flower show season from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 May 2027 at the Three Counties Showground, beneath the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. Expect show gardens, a huge Floral Marquee packed with specialist nurseries, talks from well-known gardeners and plenty of plant shopping. For garden clubs, U3A groups and retirees, an RHS Malvern coach trip takes the strain out of driving and leaves plenty of room for plants on the way home.

Why a Coach Trip Suits Garden Clubs

Malvern sits in the countryside, and the show's car parks fill quickly; the closest parking sold out on three days in 2026. The train is an option, with a free shuttle from Great Malvern station, but changing trains with bags of plants is hard work. A private coach makes the day relaxing:

• Door-to-door from your village hall or church car park.
• Room for plants. A coach's luggage hold carries shrubs, trays, and garden ornaments home safely.
• Accessible travel. Low floor and wheelchair accessible vehicles are available on request.
• A day out, not a drive. Stop for a cream tea in the Malverns or a pub lunch on the way home.
• Simple costs. One price for the vehicle, split across members, often less than individual fuel and parking.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

• Small clubs of 8–16: A comfortable minibus hire.
• Medium groups of 20–33: A midi coach with a luggage hold for plant shopping.
• Large societies of 35–57: A full size coach hire with reclining seats and on board toilet on request.

Tips for the Perfect RHS Malvern Coach Trip

• Go on Thursday or Friday for smaller crowds and the best plant selection.
• Arrive near 9 am opening. Specialist nursery plants sell out.
• Bring a trolley or bags, then use the coach hold as your plant store.
• Agree a return time around 4.30 pm–5 pm to beat the evening traffic on the M5.
