Getting a group to Banham Zoo
Banham Zoo sits at postcode NR16 2HE, and it has been welcoming visitors since it opened in 1968. For schools, clubs and workplace outings, coach hire and minibus hire to Banham Zoo is the easiest way to get a group through the gates together without juggling multiple cars or parking permits. Operators connected through BusRoute know the route into the site and can plan pickup points to suit your group's location.
Group travel benefits
Banham Zoo offers group discounts of up to 70% for parties of 16 or more, but pre-booking is required, so travel plans need to be confirmed alongside your ticket booking rather than left until the day. Coach parking is available on site and is free, which removes one of the usual cost headaches of organising a group visit. The driver also gets free entry, and organisers benefit from a complimentary adult place for groups of one to six, which can offset the cost of arranging transport.
Schools and larger groups
Banham Zoo runs school group visits, so minibus hire is a practical option for smaller classes while larger year groups typically need a full coach. Whichever size suits your numbers, matching the vehicle to the group avoids paying for empty seats or squeezing people in. Operators connected through BusRoute can advise on the right vehicle once you confirm your group size.
Planning the day
Contact the zoo directly on +44-1953-887771 or via www.banhamzoo.co.uk to confirm group booking details before transport is finalised, since prebooking is a condition of the group rate. Once numbers and dates are set, operators can build a schedule around drop off, parking and pickup, so the group spends its time at the zoo rather than waiting on logistics.
Journey times to Banham Zoo
Breaks required follow GB drivers hours rules and none of these journeys currently require a scheduled stop for the driver.

Worth Knowing in Advance
Answers to what groups usually ask.
Banham Zoo requires a minimum of 16 people to qualify for group rates. Below that number, standard admission pricing applies. Larger school or club groups should confirm exact numbers before booking transport so the discount is secured alongside the visit.
Yes, coach parking at Banham Zoo is free and space is available on site. This removes one of the usual added costs of a group outing, and organisers do not need to budget separately for parking fees when planning the trip.
Yes, the driver receives free entry to Banham Zoo. This is standard for group bookings and means the person responsible for the vehicle can also enjoy the visit rather than waiting outside for the day.
Yes, prebooking is required for all group visits to Banham Zoo. Groups cannot turn up and expect the discounted rate without confirming numbers beforehand, so transport and ticket bookings should be arranged together ahead of the visit date.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”

“The booking process with Busroute was easy, and follow up communication excellent. Despite a 6a.m. start the bus was there at 5.40, ready to load and ensure a prompt getaway. Our driver was very friendly, helpful and courteous and helped with unloading at the airport. The return to Swansea from the airport was equally easy and comfortable with an ontime pick-up and arrival back in Swansea. I highly recommend BusRoute and0 their partners.”
