Getting a group to Carrick-a-Rede
Carrick-a-Rede is managed by the National Trust and the rope bridge crossing has been open to visitors since 2008. Coach hire and minibus hire to Carrick-a-Rede is the practical way to get a group to the site without everyone driving separately and hunting for parking near the coastal path.
Booking through an operator
BusRoute connects you with licensed operators who cover this route rather than owning vehicles ourselves. Operators serving Carrick-a-Rede know the approach roads and drop off points near the visitor path, which matters on a route that ends at a coastal footpath rather than a car park at the attraction itself.
Journey from Belfast
The only verified journey in this brief is from Belfast, 59 miles away with a coach time of 1 hour 20 minutes. No driver breaks are legally required on that one way journey, and a same day return is lawful within GB drivers hours rules. That makes a day trip from Belfast a realistic option for school groups, walking clubs or family outings without an overnight stay.
Checking access before you travel
Access arrangements at Carrick-a-Rede are set by the National Trust and published on their official site. Anyone organising a group visit should check the current access page before booking transport, since arrival timing and drop off points can affect how an operator plans the pickup.
Choosing the right vehicle
Group size should decide whether a minibus or a full coach makes more sense for this trip. A smaller minibus can suit a compact group heading straight to the rope bridge, while a coach suits larger parties such as school trips or coach tours combining Carrick-a-Rede with other Causeway Coast stops.
Journey time to Carrick-a-Rede
Break requirements shown here follow GB drivers hours rules and can change depending on the operator's schedule and pickup time.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
