The Simple Way to Reach Fakenham Racecourse
Fakenham Racecourse runs raceday fixtures with gates opening at 11am, first race at 13.45 and the last race off at 16.37. That's a long window on site, which makes coach hire or minibus hire the practical option for groups who want everyone arriving and leaving together rather than coordinating separate cars across a car park.
Group tickets and numbers
The racecourse offers a 10% discount for groups of 10 to 20 tickets, which lines up well with minibus capacity for smaller parties or a full coach for larger works outings and social club trips. Booking transport alongside group tickets means the whole party moves as one unit from pickup to gates open.
Getting there from nearby cities
Norwich sits closest at 28 miles, putting the coach journey at under an hour, well inside a single driving stretch with no mandatory break. Leicester, Nottingham and London are all reachable within a same day return, with drive times between two and a half and just over three hours each way. Groups from Kingston-upon-Hull and Sheffield face slightly longer runs, both around three hours fifteen minutes, but same day return remains lawful on all these routes based on the distances involved.
Why book through a broker
We connect you with licensed operators who know the routes into Fakenham Racecourse and can advise on drop off points close to the gates. Operators handle the driver hours calculations so your group arrives in time for the 11am opening or later races without anyone rushing, and gets home safely afterwards.
Planning around the racing calendar
Because the fixture runs from late morning through to late afternoon, it suits groups who want a full day out without an early start. Coach hire for Fakenham Racecourse works well for corporate days, birthday parties and social groups who want the discount on group tickets and a single reliable journey there and back.
Journey times to Fakenham Racecourse
Breaks required follow GB drivers hours rules, and none of these routes force a mandatory stop on the way to Fakenham Racecourse.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
