Getting a group to Flambards
The Flambards Experience sits on postcode TR13 0QA, and coach hire is a straightforward way to bring a school party or group down for the day. Groups of 20 or more qualify for a group discount, and prebooking is required before you travel, so the coach organiser needs to confirm numbers with Flambards ahead of the visit rather than turning up on the day.
Parking and drop-off
Coach parking is available on site and it's free, which removes one cost that trips to other attractions often carry. The coach drops passengers next to the admission desk, so there's no long walk from the car park with a group of children or less mobile visitors. This matters more than it sounds for school trips, where getting everyone off the coach and into the venue quickly keeps the day on schedule.
School groups
School group visits are catered for specifically, and the same prebooking and minimum group size rules apply. Minibus hire works for smaller school parties that fall under the coach threshold, though the 20 person minimum is what unlocks the group discount, so it's worth checking numbers before deciding between a minibus and a full coach.
Journey times vary by origin
Whether a same day return is realistic depends heavily on where the group is travelling from. A group from Plymouth or Exeter can get there, spend the day, and return within a single driver's shift without issue. Groups coming from further afield, such as Southampton or Birmingham, run into GB drivers' hours limits that make a same day round trip unlawful, so an overnight stay or a different itinerary needs planning in advance. Operators covering this route will factor these limits into the quote, and it's worth asking directly rather than assuming any distance is workable in a single day.
Coach travel times to The Flambards Experience
Break requirements shown here follow GB drivers' hours rules, and actual scheduling will depend on the operator's chosen departure time.
A Little Context
The Flambards Experience, postcode TR13 0QA, welcomes coach and minibus groups with free on-site parking and a drop-off point next to the admission desk. Groups of 20 or more qualify for a discount, though prebooking is required for all group and school visits. Journey times vary widely by origin: groups from Plymouth or Exeter manage an easy same day return, while those travelling from Southampton or Birmingham fall outside what GB drivers' hours rules allow for a single day trip.

Practical Details Worth Checking
What actually matters on the day.
Flambards offers a group discount for parties of 20 or more visitors. Groups below this size would book as standard admissions, so it's worth checking your final headcount before confirming coach or minibus hire, since the threshold determines the rate.
Yes, prebooking is required for all coach and group visits to Flambards. This applies to school groups as well as general parties, so the organiser should contact Flambards directly to confirm numbers and dates before the trip is arranged.
Yes, coach parking is available on site at no cost. The coach drops off next to the admission desk, which keeps the walk-in short for groups, particularly useful for school trips or visitors who need step-free access.
Yes, Flambards caters for school group visits, and minibus hire suits smaller parties that don't reach the 20 person group discount threshold. The same prebooking requirement applies regardless of whether the group arrives by coach or minibus.
Common questions about visiting Flambards by coach
Answers to the practical questions group organisers ask before booking coach or minibus hire to Flambards.
Free coach parking, right by the entrance
Coach parking at Flambards is free and drops passengers next to the admission desk. That means no long walk across a car park for a school group or less mobile visitors, and less time lost getting everyone inside.
Group discounts for parties of 20 or more
Groups of 20 or more qualify for a discount at Flambards, but the visit must be prebooked. Coach hire organisers should confirm final numbers ahead of time so the discount and any group arrangements are locked in before arrival.
Journey times decide whether a day trip works
Groups from Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol can manage a same day return comfortably under GB drivers' hours rules. From Southampton or Birmingham, the same day return isn't lawful, so an overnight stay needs building into the plan.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
