Coach hire for the Gallery of Modern Art
The Gallery of Modern Art sits on Queen Street, Glasgow G1 3AH, inside a category A listed building that has welcomed visitors since 1996. It draws around 595,977 visits a year, making it one of the busier stops on a Glasgow group itinerary. Coach hire and minibus hire arrangements for the Gallery of Modern Art benefit from dedicated coach parking, which sits on the east side of the building rather than at the front entrance.
Getting a group there and parked
Operators dropping off for the gallery need to route to the east side for coach parking, so it's worth briefing the driver before departure rather than relying on satnav alone. Coach parking availability makes this a straightforward stop for day trips and multi-venue Glasgow tours, without the need to circle the block looking for space.
Access on arrival
The venue offers wheelchair access and disabled bays remain available, which matters for groups with mixed mobility needs. This is worth flagging when booking minibus hire for the Gallery of Modern Art, particularly for older visitor groups or where a member of the party uses a wheelchair.
What to know before booking
School groups are not accommodated at this venue, so operators arranging transport for education visits should confirm alternative plans rather than assuming the gallery will take a school booking. For all other groups, coach parking and step-free access make it a workable stop on a wider Glasgow itinerary, whether arriving from within the city or on a longer road trip from further afield.
Journey times to the Gallery of Modern Art
Break requirements follow GB drivers hours rules, so times and stops will vary depending on the operator's chosen route.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
