Getting a group to Golders Hill Park Zoo
Golders Hill Park Zoo sits at postcode NW11 7QP, part of Hampstead Heath, and admission is free with the park open from 7.30am year-round until dusk. That combination of no entry fee and a long opening window makes it a straightforward option for schools, community groups and family outings organising minibus hire to Golders Hill Park Zoo without needing to work around ticket times.
Parking and access on site
Blue Badge parking is available within the park, though the brief notes it is limited, so groups travelling with passengers who need accessible parking should factor this in when planning arrival times. For larger coach groups, operators will typically look at drop off points near the park entrance and arrange parking or a set down and collection point separately, since the on site provision is aimed at Blue Badge holders rather than full size vehicles.
Same day trips from across the country
Because the zoo has no admission charge and no fixed entry slot, groups can build a visit around whatever time suits the rest of their day, whether that is a half day trip from London or a longer outing from further afield. The journey data below shows that a same day return is lawful from all six origin cities we've mapped, including from Bristol and Norwich at over two and a half hours' drive time each way.
Booking through BusRoute
BusRoute connects groups with licensed operators who know the roads around Hampstead Heath and the practicalities of dropping off near a free, open access attraction like this one. Whether you need coach hire for a school trip or a smaller minibus for a family group, operators in this area can advise on realistic pickup points given the limited on site parking.
Journey times to Golders Hill Park Zoo
Break requirements follow GB drivers hours rules, and all six routes shown allow a lawful same day return.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
