Getting a group to Lanhydrock
Lanhydrock is a Grade I listed house and estate managed by the National Trust, set at Bodmin, PL30 5AD. It draws school groups, garden societies, and heritage tours, and coach hire for Lanhydrock needs to account for its rural approach roads around the Bodmin area. A group organiser booking minibus hire for Lanhydrock should confirm with the operator that the vehicle suits the site's driveway and parking arrangements before travel.
Why groups book through a broker
BusRoute connects you with licensed operators who already know the roads into Bodmin and the practicalities of dropping a coach or minibus near a National Trust property. Rather than owning vehicles, we match your group size and origin point with an operator who has the right vehicle available on your date. That means a small society trip from Plymouth and a full 50-seat school outing from Bristol both get matched to an appropriately sized vehicle.
Planning around drivers' hours
Every journey to Lanhydrock is subject to GB drivers' hours rules, which set out when a driver must stop for a break. For most origins within reasonable range, a same day return is lawful without any mandatory break. Groups travelling from further afield, such as Birmingham, should expect an operator to plan for at least one statutory break each way. Confirm your return time with the operator once your origin and pickup point are set, since this affects how the day is scheduled around your visit to the house and gardens.
Booking ahead
Because Lanhydrock attracts steady visitor numbers, especially at weekends and during school holiday periods, it is worth arranging coach or minibus transport well ahead of your visit date. Check the official Lanhydrock website for current visiting arrangements before you fix a pickup and return time with your operator.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
