Getting a group to the London Eye
The London Eye runs a group scheme for parties of 10 or more, with a discount applied to bookings that meet this minimum. That makes coach hire for London Eye trips a sensible option for schools, clubs and tour groups travelling together rather than buying individual tickets. School groups are catered for specifically, with one free teacher ticket issued per 5 primary pupils or per 10 secondary pupils, which is worth factoring into your group size when booking transport.
Drop-off and parking
Coaches set down at Belvedere Road, close to the London Eye itself, which keeps the walk from vehicle to entrance short for groups including younger children or anyone with mobility needs. The nearest coach parking is Tothill Street Coach Bays, 0.57 miles away, roughly an 11 minute walk. There is one site in this category nearby, so operators booking parking for the day should confirm availability in advance rather than assume space on arrival.
Booking minibus hire for smaller groups
Not every group needs a full-size coach. School trips or smaller clubs travelling under the group minimum may find minibus hire a better fit, particularly where flexibility on timing matters more than capacity. Whichever vehicle size suits your numbers, operators connected through BusRoute can advise on the most practical drop-off arrangement given the Belvedere Road access point.
Planning the day
Group organisers booking the London Eye should confirm ticket numbers early, since the discount and free teacher tickets both depend on accurate group sizing. Coordinating this with your transport booking, whether that is a coach or a minibus, helps avoid last minute changes to drop-off or parking arrangements on the day.
Journey times to the London Eye
Break requirements shown here follow GB drivers hours rules, and all six origins allow a lawful same day return.
Worth Knowing About London Eye
The London Eye welcomes group bookings of 10 or more people, with a discount applied to qualifying parties. School groups benefit from free teacher tickets based on pupil numbers, and coaches drop off on Belvedere Road, close to the entrance. Organisers arranging coach hire or minibus hire for a London Eye visit should confirm group size early, since both the discount and school ticket ratios depend on accurate numbers. Nearby coach parking is limited, so checking availability ahead of the visit is worthwhile for larger groups.

Before You Book
No jargon, just what you need to know.
The London Eye group discount applies to parties of 10 or more people. Groups below this number book as standard individual tickets. If you're arranging coach or minibus hire for a group visit, it's worth checking your final numbers meet this threshold before booking tickets.
Coaches set down at Belvedere Road, which is close to the London Eye entrance. This keeps the walk short for groups, including school parties and anyone with limited mobility, once the coach has dropped passengers off nearby.
Yes, school groups receive one free teacher ticket per 5 primary pupils or per 10 secondary pupils. This ratio is worth confirming against your final pupil numbers when booking both tickets and transport for the trip.
The nearest coach parking is Tothill Street Coach Bays, around 0.57 miles away, an 11 minute walk from the London Eye. There is one such site in the immediate area, so operators should confirm space before the visit.

Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
