Coach hire and minibus hire for MKM Stadium
MKM Stadium has been hosting fans since it opened in 2002, with a capacity of 25,400 people across its stands. Getting a group there without the hassle of parking or splitting up cars is exactly what coach hire and minibus hire for MKM Stadium is designed to solve. Whether it's a match day, a concert, or another event at the stadium, arriving together on one vehicle keeps a group organised from departure to drop-off.
Drop-off close to the ground
The nearest bus stop to the stadium is St Matthews Church, just 345 metres away. That short distance matters for group organisers, since it means passengers aren't left with a long walk after being dropped off, particularly useful for evening fixtures or when the weather isn't cooperating. Operators familiar with the area can plan a route that gets a group as close as practical before parking up elsewhere.
Booking through BusRoute
BusRoute connects customers with licensed operators who provide coaches and minibuses for trips to MKM Stadium. We don't own vehicles ourselves, so every enquiry is matched with an operator who has the right size vehicle for the group, whether that's a 16-seat minibus for a small supporters' club or a full coach for a larger party. Operators in this area are used to matchday logistics, including drop-off and pickup timing around kick-off and final whistle.
Travelling from further afield
Groups travelling in from cities like Leeds, Sheffield, or further north from Newcastle-upon-Tyne can all make the trip and return the same day under GB drivers hours rules. The journey table below sets out drive times and distances from the nearest origin points, so organisers can plan departure times with confidence before booking an operator through BusRoute.
Journey times to MKM Stadium
All journey times and breaks follow GB drivers hours rules, and same day return is lawful from each of these origins.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
