Coach hire and minibus hire for the Monkey Sanctuary
The Monkey Sanctuary near Looe has welcomed visitors since 1964 and sits at postcode PL13 1NZ on the south Cornwall coast. Groups travelling by road need to plan drop-off carefully, because the site has no coach parking available. This makes booking through an operator who understands the local access points more important than at attractions with dedicated coach bays.
BusRoute connects you with licensed operators who arrange minibus hire or coach hire to the Monkey Sanctuary, handling the practical side of getting a group there and back. Because coach parking is not available on site, operators typically plan a drop-off and pick-up point, then arrange parking for the vehicle elsewhere for the duration of the visit. This is worth discussing at the booking stage, since the right approach depends on group size and vehicle type.
Journey planning for groups
Drive times to the Monkey Sanctuary vary widely depending on where a group sets off. From Plymouth it is a short 46-minute run, while groups from Birmingham face nearly five hours on the road each way, requiring a legally mandated break and falling under extended driving day rules. Operators plan routes around GB drivers hours regulations, so a same day return is achievable from all six origins listed here, though the Birmingham journey demands a longer driving day permitted only twice a week under the rules.
Booking ahead
Given the lack of on-site coach parking, groups are advised to contact the Monkey Sanctuary directly on +44-1503-262532 or via www.monkeysanctuary.org to confirm group visit arrangements before finalising transport. Sorting this out alongside your coach or minibus booking avoids delays on arrival and makes the drop-off process smoother for the driver and the group alike.
Journey times to the Monkey Sanctuary
Breaks required and same day return figures follow GB drivers hours rules for coach and minibus travel.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
