The Simple Way to Reach National Exhibition Centre
Coach hire and minibus hire for the National Exhibition Centre
The National Exhibition Centre is a major events venue with capacity for 16,000 people, drawing visitors from across the UK for exhibitions, trade shows and large scale events. Getting a group there without the hassle of parking or public transport connections is where coach hire and minibus hire for the National Exhibition Centre makes sense. Booking through BusRoute means we connect you with licensed operators who know the venue and its access points.
Coach parking onsite
The venue offers dedicated coach parking, so operators can drop passengers close to the entrances and park onsite for the day. Coach parking costs £25 per day and minibus parking costs £20 per day, a fixed cost worth factoring into group travel budgets. This is far simpler than trying to coordinate car parking for a large party or relying on rail connections into Birmingham.
Accessibility on site
Disabled parking is available for Blue Badge holders, and wheelchair accessible shuttle buses run around the site, alongside cycle racks near the entrances. Operators arranging group travel for visitors with additional access needs can plan drop off points accordingly, since the venue has clearly built accessibility into its transport layout.
Getting there from nearby cities
Journey times to the NEC vary considerably depending on where a group sets off from. Birmingham is just 23 minutes away by road, while Bristol takes over two hours. None of the routes from the six cities below require a legally mandated break, meaning a same day return is lawful and practical for all of them. That makes the National Exhibition Centre well suited to day trips, whether for a one day exhibition visit or a full weekend event with an evening return.
Operators in this area are familiar with drop off and pickup procedures at the NEC, including where coaches queue and how shuttle buses interact with coach parking zones. Confirming pickup times against the event schedule on thenec.co.uk helps avoid delays at busy entry and exit periods.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
