Coach Hire and Minibus Hire for Northampton and Lamport Railway
Northampton and Lamport Railway runs heritage trains roughly every hour from its base at Pitsford & Brampton Station on Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton, NN6 8BA. It's a popular stop for school trips, family groups and railway enthusiast societies, and getting a group there together is where coach hire and minibus hire for Northampton and Lamport Railway makes the day simpler. Rather than coordinating several cars and separate parking, one vehicle brings everyone to the same gate at the same time.
Getting to the Site
The station address, Pitsford Road, Chapel Brampton, sits in open countryside rather than a town centre, so coach access and drop off points matter more than usual. Disabled parking bays are available on site, and the whole site is accessible via ramps, which is useful information to pass on to an operator when booking, especially for groups including wheelchair users or visitors with limited mobility.
Booking Through a Broker
We connect you with licensed operators who know the routes into Chapel Brampton and the practicalities of coach parking near a heritage railway site. Operators in this area can advise on vehicle size, whether a full size coach or a minibus suits your group better, and on realistic pickup times based on where you're travelling from.
Planning Your Day
Because trains run roughly every hour, there's some flexibility in departure time from your pickup point, but it still helps to agree a return slot with your driver in advance. Groups travelling from further afield, such as Sheffield or Bristol, will want to factor drive time into how much of the day they actually spend at the railway itself. Whatever the origin, requesting a quote early gives operators the best chance of matching the right vehicle to your group size and accessibility needs.
Journey Times to Northampton and Lamport Railway
All journeys shown fall within GB drivers hours rules for a single day trip, and breaks required follow those regulations rather than personal preference.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
