Coach and Minibus Hire for Selhurst Park
Coach hire and minibus hire for Selhurst Park
Selhurst Park opened in 1924 and holds 26,255 people, making it a regular destination for supporters travelling in groups. Whether you're organising a matchday trip or an event visit, coach hire and minibus hire for Selhurst Park needs to account for the ground's location and its coach parking arrangements, which are tighter than at many larger stadiums.
Getting there and parking
The nearest bus stop, Selhurst Park Stadium, sits just 114 metres from the ground, useful for groups being dropped close to the entrance. Coach parking is a different matter. The nearest dedicated site is Thornton Heath Bus Garage, operated by Arriva London, but it's a private facility roughly 2,121 metres away, about a 27 minute walk. There are three coach parking options within 2,500 metres in total, so operators will usually plan a drop off near the ground followed by parking elsewhere.
Booking through licensed operators
BusRoute connects you with licensed operators who know the access points around Selhurst Park and can plan pickup and drop off accordingly. Because parking near the stadium is limited and privately operated, it's worth booking early so the operator has time to confirm a suitable arrangement for your group size and arrival time.
Journey times from major cities
Groups travelling from London face a short 9 mile trip taking around 39 minutes, easily done as a same day return. Longer journeys from cities such as Birmingham or Norwich still allow a same day return under GB drivers hours rules, though the total elapsed time on the road is naturally longer. The table below sets out journey times and driver break requirements from the six nearest major origins, so you can plan pickup times and overall trip length before requesting a quote.
Journey times to Selhurst Park
All break requirements shown follow GB drivers hours rules, which operators must apply regardless of group size.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
