Coach hire and minibus hire for St Cecilia's Hall
St Cecilia's Hall holds category A listed building status, marking it out as a site of special architectural or historic interest. Groups travelling here for a concert, tour or private visit need transport that matches the occasion, and coach hire or minibus hire booked through BusRoute connects you with licensed operators who know the area and the vehicle types suited to it.
Getting there and parking
Access around the venue needs some planning. Disabled parking spaces are available in front of the Main Library, but there is no dedicated parking at New College Library or at St Cecilia's Hall itself. Operators factor this into drop off and pick up points, so groups with accessibility requirements should flag this early when booking minibus hire for St Cecilia's Hall.
Distance shapes the journey
Where your group travels from changes the shape of the day. A group coming from Glasgow covers 45 miles with a coach time of just over an hour, well within a single leg and no legally required breaks. Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Aberdeen sit further out, at roughly 2h 52m and 3h 01m respectively, still manageable without a break under GB drivers hours rules.
Longer journeys from Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds change the calculation. These routes exceed 200 miles and each requires at least one legally mandated break. A same day return from Manchester is only lawful on an extended driving day, permitted twice a week, while Liverpool and Liverpool and Leeds fall outside what is lawful for a same day round trip. Operators plan routes around these limits rather than around convenience alone, which is why the journey table below matters when you're comparing pickup points and setting a realistic schedule for your group.
Journey times to St Cecilia's Hall
Breaks required follow GB drivers hours rules, which apply to every operator regardless of origin city.
What to Expect
St Cecilia's Hall is a category A listed building, placing it among Scotland's most protected historic structures. Coach hire and minibus hire to St Cecilia's Hall suit groups travelling from across the UK, though journey planning matters. Glasgow, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Aberdeen all reach the venue without a legally required break, while Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds each involve journeys over 200 miles requiring at least one break under drivers hours rules. There is no dedicated parking at the venue itself, so operators typically plan around the disabled parking spaces available in front of the nearby Main Library.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
