Coach hire and minibus hire for St James' Park
St James' Park has stood on Strawberry Place, Newcastle upon Tyne, since 1892 and now holds 52,305 spectators as the home of Newcastle United F.C. A ground of that scale draws supporters from across the country on matchdays, and getting a large group there without individual cars parking around the city is where coach hire and minibus hire for St James' Park makes the most sense. Whether it's a supporters' club travelling from another city or a corporate group heading to a hospitality fixture, group transport avoids the parking squeeze around the stadium entirely.
Getting a group to Strawberry Place
The postcode NE1 4ST sits close to Newcastle city centre, and coach access needs to be planned around matchday road closures and pedestrian flow. Operators familiar with the ground can time arrival and drop off to avoid the worst of the crowds building around kick off.
Parking near the stadium
The nearest coach parking is Coach Park, operated by Gateshead Council, roughly 0.99 miles (1593 metres) from the ground, about a 20 minute walk. It offers 11 coach spaces, and it's the only dedicated coach parking site near this part of Newcastle, so booking ahead matters on busy matchdays.
Booking through BusRoute
BusRoute connects customers with licensed operators covering Newcastle and the wider North East, from small minibuses for family groups to full size coaches for supporter groups or corporate parties. Every operator in the network holds the correct licensing for passenger transport, and journeys can be planned around kick off times, hospitality schedules, or evening fixtures under floodlights. Group organisers get a single point of contact while the actual driving and vehicle provision sits with the operator best placed for the route and group size.
Drive times to St James' Park
Break requirements follow GB drivers hours rules and are calculated for a single driver on each route shown.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
