Getting a group to West Midland Safari Park
West Midland Safari Park sits at postcode DY12 1LF and has welcomed visitors since 1973. Coach hire and minibus hire are the practical way to move a group here, since the park caters directly for group visits with prebooked tickets from £18.75 per head for parties of 10 or more, a discount of up to 40% off standard admission of £18.75. Booking ahead is required for group rates, so travel plans and ticket numbers need to be confirmed together through groups@wmsp.co.uk or 01299 400700.
Parking and arrival
Coach parking is free and available on site, with a dedicated coach parking area called Coaches Only just 386 metres from the entrance, roughly a 5 minute walk. There is one such coach parking option in the immediate vicinity, which keeps arrival straightforward for operators dropping a full group at the gate.
What operators and drivers get
Drivers get free entry to the park plus a meal voucher, and the trip organiser is also given a free place. Catering for groups is available on site, so there is no need to arrange packed lunches or a separate stop, which suits a day trip built around a single coach or minibus.
Planning the journey
Because West Midland Safari Park draws groups from across the Midlands and beyond, journey time varies a lot depending on where the group starts. Birmingham is under an hour away, while Manchester and Cardiff both run past two hours each way. None of the routes below require a legally mandated break one way, and a same day return is lawful from every listed origin, though operators will still plan stops around driver welfare as needed.
Journey times to West Midland Safari Park
Breaks required follow GB drivers hours rules, and operators will confirm exact stop points when planning your route.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
