Getting Your Group to Living Coasts
Living Coasts sits on the Torquay harbourside, postcode TQ1 2BG, and has welcomed visitors since it opened in 2003. Getting a group there in one piece depends on sorting parking and drop-off before the wheels turn, and that's where planning coach hire or minibus hire for Living Coasts properly pays off.
Coach parking and drop-off
Coach parking is available at Daddyhole Plain or Lymington Road, both within reach of the attraction. The coach drop-off point is along the harbourside, which keeps a group's walk to the entrance short and avoids herding people through traffic. Operators familiar with Torquay's harbour layout will know which of the two parking options suits the day and the group size best.
Booking through a broker
BusRoute connects you with licensed operators who know the Torquay seafront and its access points, rather than owning vehicles ourselves. That means the driver arriving on the day already understands where to set down at the harbourside and where to leave the coach parked until pickup. For school trips, care groups, or day visitors, this local knowledge saves time that would otherwise go on working it out on arrival.
Getting there from further afield
Living Coasts draws visitors well beyond Torquay, and journey times vary a lot depending on where a group starts. A minibus from Exeter is a short hop, while a full coach from Birmingham is a longer day that still works as a there-and-back trip. Whatever the distance, the same harbourside drop-off and Daddyhole Plain or Lymington Road parking apply, so the local half of the journey stays consistent even when the road trip in doesn't.
Journey times to Living Coasts
Breaks required follow GB drivers hours rules, and all six routes listed allow a lawful same day return.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
