Coach hire and minibus hire for Paignton Zoo
Paignton Zoo has been open since 1923 and welcomes visitors every day of the year except Christmas Day. That daily opening pattern makes it a dependable choice for school trips, family outings and group visits planned well in advance or at short notice. Coach hire and minibus hire to Paignton Zoo is arranged through BusRoute by connecting your group with licensed operators covering the Devon area and beyond, so you get a vehicle sized to your numbers without owning or running one yourself.
Getting there from across the region
The zoo sits at postcode TQ4 7EU, close enough to Exeter and Plymouth for a straightforward same day round trip, and reachable from further afield too. Operators plan the pickup point, drop-off arrangements and parking around the zoo entrance, so your group is dropped close to the gate rather than left with a long walk.
Why book through a broker
Booking through BusRoute means you are matched with an operator who holds the right licences for group passenger transport, rather than searching independently for availability. This matters for schools and community groups needing proof of accreditation, and for larger parties who need a specific seat count confirmed before the visit date. Operators in this area are used to zoo trips, with the flexibility to adjust departure times around opening hours.
Planning your visit
Because Paignton Zoo opens every day except Christmas Day, group visits can be scheduled across most of the calendar year, including weekdays that suit school terms and weekends that suit families or clubs. For questions directly to the zoo, its number is +44-1803-697500 and full visitor details are on its official website. For the transport side, tell BusRoute your group size, origin town and preferred date, and the search for a licensed operator starts from there.

About BusRoute
BusRoute is a UK coach and minibus booking platform. We do not own vehicles. We connect groups with licensed operators who do, which means you are matched to the operator best placed to run your journey rather than to whoever happens to own the nearest coach.
Every operator we work with holds a valid PSV operator licence and full passenger insurance. Drivers on school and youth bookings are DBS checked as standard.

“We booked Bus Route for our group of 35 passengers travelling from London to Ipswich return trio and the experience was excellent from start to finish. On our way to the venue, the road was unexpectedly closed when we were only about 15 minutes away. Our driver remained calm, patient, and professional throughout, finding an alternative route without any stress or delay on our part. We really appreciated how composed and experienced he was in handling the situation. The coach was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference as we were travelling during an extremely hot day. Everyone in our group was able to relax and enjoy the journey.Overall, we had a fantastic experience on both the outbound and return trips. The service was reliable, comfortable, and well-organised. I would highly recommend Bus Route to anyone looking for coach transport for a large group. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!”
